Ingredients

  • Eggs – 2–3

  • Onion – 1 small, finely chopped

  • Tomato – 1 small, finely chopped

  • Green chili – 1, finely chopped (optional)

  • Salt – to taste

  • Black pepper – ¼ tsp

  • Grated cheese – 2–3 tbsp (cheddar or processed)

  • Oil / Butter – 1–2 tsp

  • Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp, chopped (optional)

Execution

1. Prepare Egg Mixture

  • Beat eggs → add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, salt, and pepper → mix well.

2. Cook Omelette

  • Heat butter/oil in a pan → pour egg mixture → cook on medium-low flame till bottom sets.

  • Sprinkle grated cheese on top → fold omelette → cook 1–2 mins until cheese melts.

3. Serve

  • Garnish with coriander.

  • Serve hot with toast, paratha, or as a wrap.

Additional tips

  • Use medium-low flame to keep the omelette soft and prevent burning.

  • Cover the pan briefly after adding cheese to help it melt evenly.

  • Add capsicum, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
